Writing a Cover Letter

A cover letter is a one-page business letter that gives you an opportunity to introduce yourself to an employer, express your interest in an advertised position, offer insight into your personality through your writing style and impress the prospective employer with your communication skills.

The cover letter includes your personal vision, competencies and uniqueness, your value and why you should be hired.

The cover letter consists of four paragraphs. In this module you will learn and practice how to write these four paragraphs, as well as get an understanding of the dos and don’ts of cover letter writing. With these skills you will be able to craft a cover letter for any position you will be interested in now and for the rest of your life.
