Good Habits

Habits are behaviors that are formed through regular repetition in all stages of life. They result from the choices we make in our daily lives. Habits are important because they govern what we do, how we do it, our way of learning and how we live by ourselves, in the family, in the community and in the world. Habits can be good or bad. Bad habits have consequences to you and those around you but they can be unlearned.

Good habits will take you where you want to go and lead you to success. They can be purposefully learned. This module explains what habits are and how they are formed. It presents the benefits of good habits and the consequences of bad habits. It exposes you to case studies of ‘successful’ people and explores why and how they excelled and the habits they cultivated over time. It gives you, in details, the skills and techniques of breaking bad habits and forming and sustaining (new) good habits. In these contemporary times, technology is aiding people in these processes. You will be exposed to simple mobile applications that can help you get rid of bad habits and form better ones.

The module ends with a presentation of important habits that will make you successful in life. This module is beneficial to all young adults, especially those who are completing or have completed “Advanced’ Level. It is never too early or too late to start forming good habits and get rid of bad ones.
