It is important to have the necessary skills to build and maintain strong relationships that are filled with mutual happiness, satisfaction, and — most importantly with love.
Very often I meet women who describe their dilemma as “I am stuck”. Some say they are university graduates but have failed to turn their knowledge, technical and professional skills, talents and experiences into effective careers or fulfilling lives. As a result they feel “stuck”. If you are one of those my sister, a major reason you might be stuck is that while you have book knowledge and hard skills, you lack the soft skills necessary for finding work, retaining jobs, surpassing life’s dilemmas, and taking advantage of available opportunities.
One woman told me she is “stuck” with a bunch of employees in her business that are slow, want to do the bare minimum, have no idea how to treat customers, hold back their energies, start unending fights, and look for every chance to steal from her. I told this sister, and I am telling you too, that how your employees think, behave, communicate, handle customers, manage time, control emotions, manage money, even how disciplined they are determines 75% of the success of your business. The so-called soft skills that no one was taught at school are now determining your return on investment. Instead of continuing to complain about your workers and wishing you could recruit workers from other countries, get your workers skilled, re skilled, and up skilled in soft skills to improve how they communicate, handle customers, manage time, control their emotions, solve problems, manage money, and exercise self-discipline.
When it comes to relationships, the number of women “stuck” in those that are not working is numerous, but I can assure you that this number pales in comparison to those that don`t have the skills for building and maintaining sustainable and healthy relationships. Relationships provide us with family and friends to share our lives with and also with people who can help us in tough times plus share our joyful moments. Families are the pillars of our overall well being because they provide us with the essential life energy that nurtures us from within. My sisters, it is important to have the necessary skills to build and maintain strong relationships that are filled with mutual happiness, satisfaction, and — most importantly with love. Those are the ones in which you don`t feel controlled or denied of your independence and decision-making. Of course you also need the skills to recognize relationships that are not working and how you get out of them.
Let Rounding Up The Edges International (ROUTE), a soft skills company founded and led by a fellow woman help you to “unstuck”.
