Module 4: Communication Skills

Areas of focus:

• Young adults need to learn how to communicate effectively and powerfully with other people, as well as convey their thoughts, ideas and feelings to the ones they love and work with. Participants will be exposed to skills for communicating well with others about their thoughts, feelings, ideas, opinions, tastes, preferences, values and beliefs.
• ROUTE will also teach participants how to be able to read well so they can spot common themes and think about universal ideas.
• Participants will be made to appreciate forms of non-verbal communication
• Participants will learn how to use IT and social media for self-development. They will be introduced to the dangers of plagiarism.

Practical activity:

• Participants will practice non-verbal communication.
